Hey beautiful & welcome to HER FASHION MAJOR!

“If all girls were taught to love each other fiercely instead of how to compete with each other and hate their own bodies, what a different & beautiful world we would live in” – Nikita Gill

When you’re immersed into the world of fashion and beauty as much as I am, it’s hard not to let the pressure of these industries make you think you’re not good enough, that you have to  have a certain look to be validated, and that you have to be perfect. I want to show you all that you can be a fashion enthusiast and embrace your real self, without the clichés, pricey clothes or being a size zero. So if you’re an aspiring fashionista or just want learn more about self-love and happiness, this is for you!

“Create the things you wish existed”  – Elizabeth Gilbert

This blog has been created to inspire and advise young creatives, especially those aiming to establish a career in the fashion or beauty industries. It’s based on honest experiences of a Graduate Diploma Fashion Management student at the London College of Fashion. The blog posts are usually tied in with mental health, which is a topic very close to this girl’s heart, with a pinch of feminism, body positivity, current issues in fashion and beauty, and anything and everything related to self-love and happiness.

This is not your regular fashion blog, you won’t see many ‘outfit of the day’ or ‘what I wore for…’ posts. Don’t get me wrong – I love those too! But I wanted to create something different, something that fits my personality, and something that young women need to see today. For this reason, HER FASHION MAJOR is a fashion student blog, with the simple goal of inspiring you and helping you be the best version of yourself. Because I believe that we – especially women – should all empower and help each other, instead of competing with one another.

Thank you for stopping by – and happy reading!
